Missouri winter wheat planting nearly complete

In its last crop progress and condition report of the year, the USDA says warmer than normal conditions allowed Missouri’s winter wheat planting to near completion.    

Ninety – seven percent of the state’s soybeans have been harvested, two percent ahead of last year.    

Cotton harvest is 94 percent complete.      

Winter wheat planting progressed to 95 percent complete with 89 percent of the crop emerged. Fifty percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.
