More restrictions could be coming for glyphosate

More restrictions could be coming for glyphosate. The EPA has released a draft Biological Evaluation for the herbicide which finds glyphosate is likely to adversely affect more than 16-hundred endangered species and more than 700 critical habitats.

If the draft document becomes final, EPA will have to begin work with U.S. agencies that deal with endangered species for more reviews. The draft biological evaluation of glyphosate is open for public comments over the next 60 days.

The use of glyphosate is under an EPA interim registration released early this year which includes some additional label requirements.
