93% of Indiana corn, 97% of soybeans harvested

The USDA says a mostly dry week helped harvest progress near completion. Both corn and soybean harvests are ahead of the five-year averages.

As of Sunday, corn harvest is 93 percent complete. Indiana soybean harvest is 97 percent complete.

Winter wheat is 96 percent planted and 85 percent emerged.

Farmers were also able to complete fall fertilizer and pesticide applications, tillage, equipment maintenance, soil testing, and hauling grain.
