The winner, Corey Henry of Snyder County, said he enjoys playing Scratch-Offs from the Pennsylvania Lottery and purchased the big winning ticket on Wednesday, October 28. The 33-year-old said he scratched the ticket when he arrived home.
“I said, ‘No way!’” said Henry, who told his parents about the big win first.
“I said, ‘Mom! You will never believe what I won.’ She said, ‘$10,000? $40,000? $50,000?’ I told her that it was a lot more and showed it to her and my dad and she started screaming!” said Henry, who added that he’ll use part of the prize money to buy his mom a new vehicle.
“It’s been absolutely incredible!” said Henry.
“The Pennsylvania Lottery congratulates Corey Henry for winning this top prize and Quick Shop for selling this big winning holiday Scratch-Off ticket,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “Thanks to our network of close to 10,000 retailers and players across Pennsylvania, the Lottery is continuing to fulfill its mission of responsibly generating funds for programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians.”
