A York City resident died Wednesday of blunt force trauma to the head, nearly three weeks after he was injured in a two-vehicle crash, the York County Coroner’s Office said in a release Thursday.

Joseph Sanchez, 26, was reportedly riding a 2015 Suzuki motorcycle in the vicinity of West Princess Street and Grantley around 6:46 p.m. on Oct. 7 when a 2009 Nissan Maxima turned in front of him. Sanchez was not wearing a helmet.

York City Police are investigating the crash. An autopsy was completed Thursday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

There was no immediate word on the identity or condition of the driver of the Nissan.
