Watch Ted Nugent play 'The Star Spangled Banner' on guitar at a Trump rally in Lansing

During a Donald Trump rally in Lansing on Tuesday, musician and political activist Ted Nugent took to the stage. With an electric guitar in hand, the Michigan native played a rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner."

Thousands of people were in attendance at the event held at Capital Region International Airport. The crowd was encouraged to vote by Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel and Republican U.S. Senate Candidate John James ahead of Trump's arrival.

The event was scheduled to begin at 2 p.m but Air Force One landed at the airport at about 2:45 p.m.

After performing his version of the anthem, Nugent said "God bless real Michigan. God bless real America. God bless the greatest president in our lifetime, Donald Trump."
