President Donald Trump spoke at an outdoor rally attended by thousands of people Tuesday afternoon.

Lansing Emergency Management Chief William Engelter estimated at least 5,000 people had arrived at the event at Capitol Region International Airport by 11:45 a.m., more than two hours before the president was scheduled to speak. The Trump campaign said it was expecting between 10,000 and 12,000 attendees.

The rally was Trump's first visit to Lansing as president. Joe Biden is scheduled to visit Michigan Saturday, although a specific location and time have yet to be released.
