Tennessee soybean harvest 51% complete, cotton 46%

Soybean harvest is picking up steam in Tennessee while corn harvest nears completion.  Fifty-one percent of soybeans and 91 percent of corn has been harvested. 

Cotton harvest is 46 percent complete with 98 percent of bolls opening.  

Fifty-seven percent of pastures are rated good to excellent and 56 percent of the winter wheat crop has been planted, with 36 percent emerged.

Eighty-nine percent of Topsoil and Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
