Man injured, another in custody after Saturday shooting

Lansing police are investigating a shooting Saturday on West Howe Avenue that injured a 24-year-old man.

LANSING – A man is in custody after a shooting Saturday afternoon on West Howe Avenue in Lansing.

A 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the 200 block of West Howe Avenue around 3:20 p.m., according to the Lansing Police Department. The shooting was not a random act, police said.

Police have not released the identities of the man in custody or the man injured during the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation.
