A chili cook-off and bake sale will be hosted by the Aldphia Motorcycle Club to benefit the Point Township Volunteer Fire Department in Mount Vernon, Indiana, on Saturday, Oct. 31 from Noon to 5 p.m. Join the chili cook-off with a $20 entry fee or come taste and vote for your favorite with dollars. A gun raffle and silent auction will be included.

The Farmer and Frenchman, a lovely fall destination, is located in the countryside just south of Henderson, Ky.

The Farmer and Frenchman will be hosting a five-course wine pairing dinner on Thursday, Oct. 29 beginning at 7 p.m. The menu will be decided at the last moment depending on what is available, freshest and strikes the fancy of the cooks but prepare for seasonal and local ingredients, a variety of proteins and vegetables and dessert. Tickets are $125 per person and must be purchased in advance at 270-748-1856.

The Jennings St. Public House is hosting Pints for Polio, a fundraiser for the Rotary International Foundation. A portion of every drink sold will go to the Rotary Club’s efforts to eliminate polio. Hot Diggety Dog will be outside with custom hot dogs, polish sausage and brats topped any way you want them.

The Owensboro Convention Center will host the 4th Annual Cork & Cuisine Happy HalloWine Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. Enjoy a 5-course dinner with wine and spirit pairings and pairing education. There will be trivia, wine and spirit giveaways, voting on decorated pumpkins and more. Tickets are $65.25 per person.

The Prime Time Pub and Grill in Newburgh has begun Sunday brunch service from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Menu items include the “Connor,” a filet steak with eggs, bleu cheese, potatoes and biscuit; breakfast pizza; breakfast burrito; egg-and-meat and pancake platters and biscuits with gravy.

Taylor’s Grill on Wheels is a new barbecue restaurant in Henderson. The menu includes pulled pork, pork chops and ribs, smoked chicken, nachos and loaded baked potatoes, homemade sides, chess bars and more. The restaurant does not have inside seating but does have a pickup area with distanced chairs and offers delivery and curbside pickup.
