The Guam Department of Education is continuing the distribution of food commodities for the month of October, in partnership with the local mayors and community organizations.

Free food distribution is planned for Agat, Santa Rita, Umatac and Merizo:

  • Oct. 27: Agat  — Drive-through at the Agat Mayor’s Office beginning at noon, while supplies last. For more information, call 565-2524.

  • Oct. 27-28: Santa Rita  — Drive-through at the Santa Rita senior citizens center from 1 to 5 p.m., while bags last. For more information, call 565-2514.

  • Oct. 29: Umatac  — Door-to-door delivery of 270 bags for the elderly and individuals with a disability. For more information, call 828-8251. 

  • Oct. 29: Merizo  — Door-to-door of 480 bags for the elderly, individuals with a disability and those who have been furloughed. For more information, call 828-2941.

Food commodities also will be provided, in bulk, to organizations. The organizations will distribute food commodities directly to their clients, families and households:

  • Oct. 29: Veterans affairs housing and urban development, supportive housing.

  • Oct. 30: Santa Barbara Catholic Church food pantry.
