Unity Music, Comedy and Arts Fest 2020 is coming to PeoplesBank Park

A whirlwind of entertainment, art and other vendors are coming to PeoplesBank Park in York for an event soon. 

Checkmate Entertainment presents Unity Music, Comedy and Arts Fest 2020, which will take place at the stadium on Nov. 1. 

"We wanted to make sure that it would be diverse. We want to make sure that we target everyone," Founder of Checkmate Entertainment Marion Kinard said about the event.

Comedy sessions will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and will include comedians Alabama, Omar Terrell and Kevin Tate. The event is 18 or older. 

The music portion of the event will be from 5 to 10 p.m., and parental advisory is recommended. Headliners for the comedy and music sessions are still pending.

Music performances include Pluto Kar, SIN, Ralph Real, Young Toko, Quan Da Don, Jerzey Jay, Almaniel, Spade Sween, Durty Flow and DJuan. In addition, some high school and college acts will take the stage throughout the evening. 

An art showcase by local artist, MosArt, will also be on display at the event. 

Tickets for the music portion of the event are $20 for general admission field. VIP patio seats are $50 for two tickets or $90 for four tickets. 

Comedy tickets are $30 for general admission field. VIP patio seats are two for $75 or four for $140.

Kinard said that Checkmate Entertainment's goal is to bring four concerts a year to the stadium between May and October. Last year, they put on Unity Fest, and they're also having a trick-or-treat event for kids on Oct. 31

Attendees must wear a mask and are expected to abide by York Revolution rules and requirements.

A portion of the proceeds will go to local non-profit organizations, Kinard said.
