Introducing the Citrix Workspace Platform

We developed Citrix Workspace to bring your applications together into a secure, unified container that’s easy to manage, replacing the disparate apps employees typically have to hunt around for. We organized work by adding all your content and files and making them available across a universal set of endpoints and infrastructure.

As we’ve continued to innovate, we’ve focused on two new dimensions of capability:

  • Embracing all application types, across all device types: Citrix Workspace is the one place for employees to securely access the apps and services they need, no matter the device they’re on, with the security and performance your organization demands.
  • Supporting and advancing employee experience: Citrix Workspace’s intelligent capabilities reduce complexity, freeing employees to focus on the task at hand and do their best work, no matter what location or what device they’re working from.

We’ve designed Citrix Workspace to drive value for your organization, as the place for employees to access custom workflows and business apps. Of course, Citrix Workspace includes all the standard apps that drive modern business, but we know it’s the custom workflows and processes that enable companies to outpace the competition. And we know they must always be available to employees on every device, in a consistent and secure way. That’s where the Citrix Workspace platform comes in — an array of capabilities designed to make the Workspace extensible, customizable and personalized.

We’ve built integrations into the platform, available out of the box, for the most widely used apps and systems of record, and they’re designed to abstract away complexity and surface relevant information, letting employees do exactly what they need to without ever switching context. Our provisioning services makes it easy for third parties to build new apps, whether they’re virtual, web, SaaS, or local.

And our identity and access security gives you the ability to integrate apps completely into the Workspace to control who has access and ensure simple services, such as single sign-on, that apply to the core application experience in the Workspace and cover all other apps. This security is continuous. IT can target employees with the existing or new apps that they need while guaranteeing security and performance and offering the level of observability they need.

We’ve also built services around analytics and automation so the system can observe what users are doing inside the Workspace. Those APIs are connected to an AI platform that constantly learns what matters most and what workflows users are performing so it can proactively optimize the environment.

Technologies around assistants and bots let you easily initiate and uncover workflows and actions that are available to you based on identity and security level. This makes the Workspace as self-service as possible by guiding and automating work and by issuing queries that get self-resolved by exposing the right data and information.

We also have a range of APIs and tools we expose, including low-code development, to help you to customize and manage the Workspace and build solutions on top of the platform. This allows customers and a broad ecosystem of partners to tailor the Workspace to their needs and introduce solutions faster.

On top of the platform, we deliver Workspace solutions that you’re familiar with, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and secure SaaS and Web apps. We enable endpoint management for managing all device types, and we connect to all the content resources an employee needs, whether in the cloud or on-prem. Employees can engage with the Workspace platform through the Workspace app, browsers, and channels such as Teams, Slack, or Google Workspace.

Business Service Providers, GSIs Expand the Value of Citrix Workspace

The Citrix Workspace platform is incredibly powerful, and we’re working closely with partners to grow and maximize its value for organizations everywhere. While Citrix Workspace capabilities work closely with technologies from partners like Microsoft and Google to provide simple, seamless offerings to our customers, our partner ecosystem is expansive and includes Business Services Providers and Global Systems Integrators who are helping customers realize the value of Citrix Workspace.

Business Service Providers

Citrix works with Business Service Providers to abstract away the complexity that impedes employees, implementing workflows within Citrix Workspace. The workflow surfaces tasks for employees based on what they need to do. There’s no digging for the right app or searching through app menus.

Consider two recent examples — our work with Upwork and Zoho. With Upwork, we’re enabling organizations to securely find, onboard, and manage talent using Citrix Workspace. And we’ve worked with CRM solution provider Zoho so their employees can quickly create or update an account, contact or lead or add deal information using microflows in Citrix Workspace.

Global Systems Integrators

We’ve undertaken larger, more holistic efforts for enterprises with Global Systems Integrators (GSIs), including Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, Fujitsu, Tata Consultancy Services, and Wipro. We have long relationships with our GSIs, and many of you rely on them to help with strategic challenges, including digital and workplace transformation.

Some GSIs are building broad competencies and innovations around Citrix Workspace as an organizing function for digital transformation. Others are building competencies and innovations around Citrix Workspace as a means of modernizing employee experience and delivering a unified, organized, secure, and intelligent workspace.

Our GSIs are helping organizations achieve their goals through consulting, innovation, integration, hosting, and professional services to deliver bespoke solutions leveraging Citrix’s portfolio. Many bring industry- and geo-specific expertise. They’re doing incredible things, customizing the workspace with our low-code and no code tools.
