Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures and above-normal precipitation across much of the country. Warmer-than-normal weather will be largely limited to the southern and middle Atlantic States, while drier-than-normal conditions should be confined to western Texas and parts of the West, including northern California and the northern Great Basin.
