A Chambersburg man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for drug trafficking.

Daquan Seabrook, 25, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge John E. Jones also ordered Seabrook to serve five years of supervised release following his prison term.

Seabrook was arrested in October 2018 while the Franklin County District Attorney's Office was investigating him for drug distribution.

Members of the drug task force and Pennsylvania State Police executed a search warrant at a room at the Red Roof Inn off Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg and found about 100 grams of what investigators described as a mix of heroin and fentanyl.

That is equal to about 4,000 individual doses, according to investigators.

When Seabrook was taken into custody a short time later, police found a large sum of cash in his possession. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the federal judge ordered Seabrook to forfeit $15,000 that was seized at the time of his arrest.

Seabrook has one open case in Franklin County. He was charged just over a year ago with participation in a corrupt organization, court records show.
