24% of Ohio corn, 65% of soybeans harvested

The USDA says modest precipitation last week did not decrease the amount of abnormally dry conditions in Ohio.

Twenty-four percent of corn is harvested. The crop condition rating held steady at 49 percent good to excellent.

Soybeans are 65 percent harvested. The crop is rated 58 percent good to excellent.

Eighty-four percent the winter wheat crop is planted, and 37 percent is emerged.
