AZ Voter Registration Deadline has Been Extended

A Federal Judge issued an Order Extending the Arizona's Voter Registration Deadline from October 5th to October 23rd.

“[A] core tenet of democracy is to be ruled by a government that represents the population,” U.S. District Judge, Steven P. Logan, wrote in his Decision.

“Due to COVID-19, a portion of the population is prevented from registering to vote, and thus the integrity of the election is undermined in a different way; that portion is going unrepresented. Extending the deadline would give more time for those voters to register and let their voices be heard through the democratic process.”

Not only does this ruling Uphold the Fundamental Right to Vote, it Allows More Time to Help many more Voters have their Voices heard in this Election.

If Democrat Mark Kelly Defeats Republican Senator Martha McSally, he would take his Seat in the Senate this November, making it a little Harder for Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to whatever he has Planned for the Lame Duck Session.

The Extended Voter Registration Timeline gives Organizations the Ability to Connect with some of the Hardest to Reach Communities, particularly those facing Language and Access Barriers.
