[unpaid/sample/ad/affiliate] £50 is the lipstick tipping point for me – it feels like it’s just too much for any lipstick. But, I guess that we are talking about products built specifically for the luxury market where £50 doesn’t feel any more onerous than £5 OR very much treat territory for those of us for whom it is a significant outlay. When I buy a Sisley lip balm – also the £50 mark – I know I am treating myself but also, happy to do so for this specific thing because it feels like the very best thing I could have for my lips. So, horses for courses, as they say.

Jimmy Choo Seduction Collection Nail Colour

This post is mostly about the Nail Colour from Jimmy Choo but a new (to me) shade of lipstick is making an appearance. The nail colour is £35 which made my brain do a flip and think it wasn’t as expensive as I thought it would be. I can’t deny it – it’s ALL of the glam – a faceted bottle with a long, slender handle … very much the ornament your dressing table has been looking for (I don’t have one either… :-))).

The shade I have here is a glorious Schiapparelli pink called Crazy Fuchsia – the sort of shade that would make you want to don rubber gloves for washing up and ban yourself from any gardening for fear of creating a dent in the radiance. If you have a black polo neck, this shade is the only accessory you need for it. It’s £35 HERE.

I am impressed with the mock-croc embossing and the slender and over-long lipstick tube decked with a gold bauble at the end of it. I can’t help myself and also can’t help thinking it’s very gifty – something to really treat someone to. It does feel like an absolute treat. It’s supposed to be scented with a Jimmy Choo fragrance, Iris Crush, but honestly, it smells how Estee Lauder lipsticks used to – that sweet, waxy, new lipstick smell instead of mint or vanilla.

This is one swipe so it lays down a full colour (I can hear my mum’s voice saying ‘I should hope so, too’) – in this instance a full-bodied red wine shade called Burgundy Charm in a satin finish. It’s HERE, non affiliate HERE. They both come properly boxed and wrapped.
