13 Most Stylish Airbnbs in Brighton

Last updated on June 8, 2023

I grew up 30 minutes from Brighton and it has a special place in my heart, filled with memories of trips to the pier as a child, shopping in the lanes as a teenager and nights out in my twenties. Nowadays, it retains the alternative vibes it’s always had, albeit with more gentrification, a little less hippy and a smidge more hip. Londoners flock there for a more laid-back life by the sea, and it’s a gorgeous UK weekend break.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Brighton, this is our edit of the best Airbnbs in Brighton. From hip apartments to sea view penthouses, it has Brighton Airbnb options for every taste and style.

If you’re travelling elsewhere in the UK, check out our other UK Airbnb guides, including the best Airbnbs in Bristol, Liverpool and the Lake District. Also check out our guide to how to choose the best Airbnb.

All these Airbnbs would be great to combine with a gorgeous UK road trip.

Where to stay in Brighton?

Here’s a quick rundown of some popular areas to stay in a Brighton Airbnb.

The Lanes and North Laine

One of Brighton’s most atmospheric and popular spots, The Lanes are lined with vintage shops, cafes and restaurants. They’re also right in the city centre, leading down to the beach.

Kemptown

To the east of the centre is Kemptown,a village-feel area with lots of cute homes and regency style architecture. It’s a hip and happening place to stay with plenty of cafes, bars and nightlife. It’s right on the seafront and less than half an hour’s walk from the city centre.

Hove

Hove is just west of the city centre and one of the most colourful places in Brighton, filled with pretty mews and plenty of regency townhouses. It’s home to the iconic colourful beach huts, and has plenty of great cafes and restaurants too. Brunswick Town is one of the most attractive areas in Hove.

City Centre

I’m using this to refer to the city centre area that’s not the Lanes. Less atmospheric than the historic lanes, it’s still a handy place to stay, filled with many shops, restaurants and attractions.

Hanover

Hanover is an attractive part of town with many colourful houses, Victorian cottages and plenty of cafés, shops and restaurants. It’s one of the more gentrified areas of the city.
