Minnesota soybean harvest 3 weeks ahead of last year

The Minnesota soybean harvest is 31 percent complete.

The latest weekly crop report from USDA says that pace is nearly three weeks ahead of last year and six days ahead of the five-year average.

With 85 percent of Minnesota’s corn for grain crop mature, harvest reached six percent done as of Sunday.  That’s 17 days faster than a year ago and five days ahead of normal.  Corn moisture is averaging 24 percent.

The sugarbeet harvest is nearly 20 percent complete, sunflowers are seven percent harvested, and potatoes are at 68 percent.
