[unpaid/samples] In beauty terms this collection is called ‘pre-holiday’ which doesn’t trip as nicely off the tongue as ‘autumn’ but you get the idea. Suqqu newness always sells out really fast in the UK, partly because it’s in limited distribution and partly because once you are a Suqqu fan, you can’t look at anything else :-).

SUQQU Autumn 2020

Starting with the Powder Blush Compact in shade 102 (at the moment, I can only find 101 on-line so it might be that I’m a bit early on this particular product). It’s really a complete picture of autumn if you are someone who falls into colour line with the seasons. I really like the conker and berry aspects of this – there are three blush shades and three contrasting highlight shades, although the highlighters are pigmented enough that you can use as a light-catchy blush if you wish.

You need only the merest whisper of a brush over these colours – they’re very generous and it’s (a bit too) easy to overload. The brick-ish shade in the top corner is an unexpected delight – beautiful for deeper tones and anyone with some residual warmth left from summer.

SUQQU Autumn 2020

Swatches above go around the clock starting at the top left hand corner. The palette – assuming it’s the same price as the existing 101 (which is on the Selfridges website) colour collection is £58.

SUQQU Autumn 2020

The award for the best named product of 2020 goes to this pair – Lip Fogs. It’s such an evocative name that conjours up exactly the texture as a light velvet. SUQQU Comfort Lip Fluid Fog, as a forgiving and light matte, is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever used. I don’t like mattes as a rule and yet this texture feels like a creme lipstick and is not at all drying – a miracle in itself on my extremely needy lips.

SUQQU Autumn 2020

The two shades are unobtrusive nude tones – Momodone is the beige/pink shade on the left and Shukka is a plummy nude with more of a blue undertone and strangely, suits my skin tone best. These have a high oil content and the finish is airy and filmy on the lips. They’re £33 each.

SUQQU Autumn 2020

I’ve got a couple of eye palettes waiting to swatch up which I will get to in the next few days – by then, hopefully, everything will be loaded up and ready to go on the Selfridges website.
