Harvest is getting underway in Ohio

The USDA reports that harvest is underway in Ohio. As of Sunday, one percent of corn and two percent of soybeans are harvested.  

Eighty-nine percent of the corn crop is dented, and 30 percent has reached maturity. Forty-five percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.

Soybeans held steady at 54 percent good to excellent. Fifty-four percent of the crop is dropping leaves.

Three percent of the winter wheat crop is planted.
