First Votes in 2020 General Election


The First State to begin Voting, in 2020, is Pennsylvania, on Sept, 14th.

On Sept. 18th, States are: Virgina; Minnesota; and Wyoming.

On Sept. 19th, States are: Michigan; New Jersey; South Dakota; and Vermont.

On Sept, 24th, Illinois starts Voting.

Early Voting Permits Citizens to Cast Ballots In-Person at a Polling Place before an Election. Thirty-Eight States and the District of Columbia permit No-Excuse Early Voting.

Another Five States: Colorado; Hawaii; Oregon; Utah; and Washington, use All-Mail Voting Systems.

Kentucky; South Carolina; Texas; and Utah, have Changed Early Voting Dates or Procedures due to COVID-19.

To Date, 38 States have Modified their General Election Voting Procedures because of the Pandemic.
