FPS field demonstrations not impacted by derecho

Field demonstrations are part of the in-person and virtual Farm Progress Show which started today in central Iowa.

Don Tourte, sales and events director, says it was close but the derecho storm that swept through Iowa did NOT harm the show fields in Boone, Iowa.

“We saw pictures of just less than five miles south of here with the flat corn and it’s like, ‘Uh oh, what happened in Boone?’ But, we were very, very fortunate that the corn really is good here and combining and all the other field demonstrations should work really well.”

The virtual Farm Progress Show runs through Thursday.
