US Marshals nab Red Lion fugitive wanted for Baltimore hit-and-run
Brian Adams now faces extradition to Maryland, marshals say.
U.S. Marshals arrested a 32-year-old Red Lion man — wanted in connection with an August hit-and-run in Baltimore — Tuesday afternoon in York, according to a news release.
Brian Adams, who faces three counts of first-degree attempted murder and three counts of first- and second-degree assault, is now awaiting extradition to Maryland, the release states.
Acting on a warrant, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Pennsylvania State Police located Adams about 1 p.m. in the 2100 block of South Queen Street. They arrested him without incident.
Hit-and-run in Baltimore
About 9:30 p.m on. Aug. 21, officers responded to the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue for a report of a red Ford F-150 pickup truck that had struck two bicyclists and a pedestrian, then fled the area without stopping.
The two bicyclists were taken to nearby hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Detectives began an investigation, acquiring video footage of the incident and interviewing witnesses. Based on their findings, they identified Adams as a suspect.

Police allege Adams intentionally struck the bicyclists, momentarily pinning one to a vehicle.
“The U.S. Marshals Service recognizes the importance of bringing those charged with multiple violent offenses to justice as quickly as possible," U.S. Marshal Martin Pane said. "We give these type of cases our utmost attention. It is my hope that the victims and their family members will find comfort knowing the alleged attacker is now in custody.”
