A 21-year-old Spring Grove man is facing multiple charges after a July assault when he allegedly hit a nurse and bit at least two security guards at Wellspan York Hospital.

According to court documents, Dalton Duncan was brought to the hospital on July 20 when he asked a nurse, Alexis Lamp, to make a call. Duncan took the phone, swung it, and struck Lamp in the right side of her head and again on her left ear.

Security guard Alexander Ozoa heard screams and entered the room where Duncan then punched him in the face. Ozoa managed to get Lamp out of the room, shut the door and wait for backup from other security guards.

As another security guard, Isaiha Jamison, entered the room, Duncan grabbed a metal tray and hit him in the head with it. Two more security guards, John Douglass and Brian McKenna, also entered the room to help put Duncan in restraints.

During the scuffle, Douglass was bitten on the right forearm and McKenna was bitten on the left tricep.

Duncan has been charged with aggravated assault and criminal mischief.
