Billie Eilish, John Legend, Common and The Chicks are among the musical artists who will be performing during next week's 2020 Democratic National Convention, organizers announced Friday.

The event — Monday through Thursday — is anchored at the Wisconsin Center but almost all of the content, including speeches and performances, will be from remote sites.

The musical lineup also includes Leon Bridges, Jennifer Hudson, Billy Porter, Maggie Rogers, Prince Royce and Stephen Stills.

The Chicks, originally known as The Dixie Chicks, recently released their first album in 14 years. In 2003, they were the subject of fierce political backlash when lead singer Natalie Maines criticized then-President George W. Bush during the run-up to the Iraq War invasion.

Legend and Common combined on the song "Glory," which won an Academy Award. The song was the stirring anthem for "Selma," based on the 1965 voting rights marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

Organizers previously announced there will be a tribute to the late U.S. Rep. John Lewis, who along with others was beaten by Alabama state troopers as they attempted a march on March, 7, 1965, a day known as "Bloody Sunday."

Stephanie Cutter, who is the convention's program executive, said in a statement that the event "will look and feel very different than past conventions. It will truly be a convention across America, and these incredible artists will help us tell the story of where we are as a country today under Donald Trump’s failed leadership, and the promise of what we can and should be with Joe Biden as president."

Organizers also announced that on opening night, Monday, the National Anthem will be performed by a 57-member youth choir, each member representing one of the 57 states and territories that are part of the DNC.

The performance will be from remote locations.
