Kudlow says US-China trade agreement is “fine”

White House Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow told reporters on Tuesday the phase one trade deal is “fine” as China continues to increase purchases of US goods.

Top US and Chinese officials are discussing trade virtually this week as tensions have risen between the two countries because of COVID-19.

Despite those tensions, Kudlow indicates the trade deal is in good shape.

The deal calls for China to increase purchases of US ag goods to $36.5 billion dollars in two years.
