Multiple outlets are reporting an explosion in Northwest Baltimore that has killed at least one person and trapped several people this morning.

According to Fox 45, the gas explosion involved three homes in the area of Labyrinth and Reisterstown Road.

The Baltimore Sun reports that those who have been recovered are listed in critical condition as firefighters and Special Rescue Operations continue to sift through the rubble.

Linda Foy, a spokeswoman for Baltimore Gas and Electric, told USA TODAY that crews received a call from Baltimore's fire department just before 10 a.m. Monday and were working to turn off gas to other buildings in the immediate area.
