Cyclist killed after vehicle collision in Ojai

A woman was killed after a car ran into her bicycle in Ojai on Friday evening, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was first reported at 6:55 p.m. in the 1000 block of Cuyama Road.

Authorities declared the female cyclist deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and complied with investigators, authorities said.

Ojai deputies launched an investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash. No further updates were immediately available.
