Wisconsin’s 2nd round of coronavirus direct payments to farmers opens Monday

Wisconsin farmers will get a second opportunity to apply for the state’s coronavirus direct payments starting Monday, August 10th

Governor Tony Evers set aside 50-million dollars from federal CFAP dollars, and much of that was paid out in July, but ag department officials say there is still 8.4 million dollars available.  Producers that did not receive payment in the first round and had a gross farm income between 10-thousand and five million dollars are eligible to apply, and like the first round, applications can be made online.
