Let's Hire Laid-Off Oil and Gas Workers to Fight Climate Change

I have been saying this for a long time. We should develop Programs to Retrain they into the New Technologies and Manufacturing the Products needed for the Renewable Energy Industries.

In 2020 alone, more than 100,000 Oil and Gas Workers have been Laid Off, accelerating Losses in an Industry that was already Struggling before the Global Pandemic undercut Demand for Fossil Fuels.

Mike Bloomberg believes we should move Quickly to give those Workers New Jobs, Fighting the Climate Crisis.

They can put their Skills to Use, plugging Millions of Abandoned Oil and Gas Wells, many of which are Leaking Methane, a Greenhouse Gas more than 80 times as Potent as CO2.

The Proposal is a Perfect Example of how Growing the Economy and Fighting Climate Change go Hand-in-Hand.

Find out how we can get it done in Mike's Latest Opinion Piece: Putting former oil and gas workers into jobs to fight climate change.
