Missing Guilford Township woman returns home uninjured

A woman, reported missing from her Franklin County home since Thursday, returned over the weekend, the Pennsylvania State Police reported.

Bertha Ann Paine, 67, had last been seen by her husband about 3 p.m. Thursday at their home in the 1000 block of Swamp Fox Road in Guilford Township. The house is east of Marion, Pennsylvania.

She was reported missing about two hours later, according to a news release the state police issued Friday.

Paine returned to her residence, alone and uninjured, about 7 a.m. Saturday, police reported.

Police said Paine was evaluated by emergency medical personnel and found to be in good health. She was taken to Chambersburg Hospital for a precautionary evaluation, police said.
