Indiana coronavirus cases: 784 new cases, 4 additional deaths reported

The Indiana State Department of Health on Sunday reported an additional 784 cases and four deaths from the novel coronavirus. That brings the state's totals to 67,857 cases and 2,775 deaths.

More than 769,000 Hoosiers have been tested for the virus, and 8.8% have tested positive.

An additional 200 probable deaths from COVID-19 have been reported. Probable deaths are based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test was recorded. 

Marion County continues to lead the state in total cases and deaths, with 14,710 and 719, respectively.

Its surrounding counties have some of the state's highest totals as well, including 2,489 cases and 104 deaths in Hamilton County, 1,742 cases and 105 deaths in Hendricks County, and 1,648 cases and 118 deaths in Johnson County.

Outside of Central Indiana, Lake County remains the state's second-hardest-hit county, with 7,037 cases and 269 deaths.

As of Thursday, about 37% of ICU beds and about 85% of ventilators remained available across the state.
