Elemis x Gretchen Röehrs The Glow Getters Duo

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I love an artist collaboration – I think that Elemis has worked with illustrator Gretchen Roehrs before and certainly I’ve seen her quirky combination of fashion and fruity food elsewhere (her website is HERE and well worth a browse to see the prints although I’m trying not to press buy on the banana one – suddenly my Christmas list has popped into my head…).  That’s a long way round to say that this duo contains one of my most favourite Elemis products.

Good old Papaya Enzyme Peel. I’ve used this on and off for years – Elemis, apparently, is 25 years old so Papaya must have been one of their earlier launches. I don’t really want to try and count back to be honest! However, I was as pleased to see it this time as the first time because it just does the job. I almost feel I don’t need to explain because you must have come across it before, but briefly, it uses papaya and pineapple enzymes to give a gentle enzymatic peel (and did so before enzyme peels were really a thing) therefore avoiding any abrasive action on your skin.

As well as having a gorgeous fruity scent, your skin will be noticeably brighter afterwards. It’s a proper worker that feels like a treat and delivers what you hope it will. I also like Elemis Tri-Enzyme which is a bit less gentle and – frankly, less pleasurable – but again gives brighter, perkier skin. The Nourishing Omega Rich Cleansing Oil hasn’t ever made it into my ‘favourites’ but I can’t fault its cleansing abilities and the combination will temporarily give you a lovely glow.
