York County woman dies three weeks after crash in Dover Township, coroner says

A 42-year-old woman died at York Hospital on Friday, more than three weeks after she was injured in a crash in Dover Township, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

April Swartz, of the 1900 block of Copenhaffer Road in Conewago Township, died at 7:15 a.m. at the hospital, the coroner said.

Swartz was injured on June 18 in a single-vehicle crash in the area of 5501 Carlisle Road, the coroner said. She was unrestrained in her vehicle when she lost control and crashed. 

Police news

When crews arrived on scene, Swartz was taken to York Hospital for treatment where she remained in critical condition before succumbing to her injuries on Friday. The cause of her death has been listed as multiple blunt force trauma. 

Her death has been ruled an accident. Northern York County Regional Police is the investigating agency.
