IRSC interviews three presidential finalists next week on Zoom; here's how to watch

FORT PIERCE — Indian River State College faculty, students and staff will have the opportunity next week to learn more about the top three candidates hoping to become the college's next president. 

The college is to hold virtual interviews Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the three finalists: Frank Brogan, U.S. assistant secretary of education for elementary and secondary education; Christina Hart, an IRSC alumna and the college's vice president of enrollment and student services; and Timothy “Tim” Moore, chief science officer at MagPlasma and co-founder and chief science officer at Probaxstra Inc.

Eighty-two people applied for the job.

"We are delighted to present these outstanding finalists to the IRSC community and provide our constituencies an opportunity to hear from, and interact with, each of them," IRSC District Board of Trustees Chair José Conrado said in a statement. 

Three public interviews each day, with each of the constituency groups, will be broadcast live on Zoom.

"Participation in these forums is highly encouraged, as they will prove essential in the board’s consideration and selection of the college’s next president," Conrado said. 

The new president will be the college's fourth since its founding in 1959, and will succeed Edwin Massey, who's been in the role for more than three decades. 

Massey is retiring when his contract ends next month.
