Crashes likely to keep parts of I-81 closed until midnight

If you are planning to travel on I-81 Wednesday night, you should plan on finding a different route.

A number of crashes involving tractor-trailers have closed parts of the roadway in Dauphin and Lebanon counties.

According to CBS21, the coroner has been called to a crash at mile-marker 87 on I-81. The report says that at least a dozen tractor-trailers are involved in five crashes.

511pa.com is showing I-81 closed in both directions from Grantville to Indiantown Gap. The southbound lane is also closed from milepost 91 to Indiantown Gap.

Traffic is being rerouted.

Parts of the interstate are expected to be closed until at least midnight.
