Midtown Ventura Community Council to hear coronavirus update

The executive officer of the County of Ventura will provide an update on the response to the coronavirus pandemic when the Midtown Ventura Community Council meets Thursday. 

Ventura County CEO Mike Powers will discuss the county's efforts against COVID-19. Powers will take questions at the end of the presentation. 

In addition, Joe Oftelie, vice president of community development for Warmington Residential, will discuss a for-sale housing project at 2400 Channel Drive in Ventura.

The site is currently an old storage area for boats and recreational vehicles, along with other industrial uses. The property owner would like to make better use of the site.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Thursday. Because of the coronavirus, the meeting will be virtual. Participants must register ahead of time. To register, go to midtownventura.org and click on "agenda" and "next meeting" at the top of the page.
