In the accounting year, which ended February 29th, 2020, Prescott earned just over $2.5 million, which comes “from marketing and royalties, largely from video games, apparel, and trading cards.” Dak has become one of the more marketable players in the NFL.
Ezekiel Elliott was also on the list earning more than $1 million last year.
Quarterbacks in the NFL are generally going to have a leg up on other position players when it comes to opportunities for endorsements and merchandise. They're generally the players that the networks build storylines around. They're the position that gets the most air time and publicity. Being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys also helps as its one of the most recognizable and valuable positions in all of sports.
Dak Prescott is on the brink of signing one of the richest contracts in NFL history when he and the Dallas Cowboys eventually settle on a long-term contract. During his rookie deal, he's been an incredible value as the Cowboys have been one of the winningest regular season teams during his four seasons in the NFL.
