The home of the Milwaukee Brewers may serve as a drive-through early voting site for Milwaukee residents.

The City of Milwaukee plans to open 15 early voting sites for the 2020 election and Miller Park could be an additional location focused on drive-through voting, Claire Woodall-Vogg said in an Election Commission memo about voting, equity and inclusion.

"I have been working with the Milwaukee Brewers to create a drive-through in-person absentee voting experience at Miller Park. The Election Commission would continue to offer curbside voting at all locations," she wrote. "However, Miller Park would provide a space dedicated to the service that we believe will be well received by the community and run more efficiently."

Woodall-Vogg withdrew from consideration as Mayor Tom Barrett's pick to lead the Milwaukee Election Commission last month but has since reversed course and agreed to serve as executive director. The Common Council approved her appointment Tuesday.

In her memo, Woodall-Vogg said city election officials currently have 160 polling places confirmed for the Aug. 11 partisan primary and hope to have "as many, if not more," polling places on Nov. 3.

Milwaukee and Wisconsin are expected to play a key role in determining the results of the November presidential election. President Donald Trump unexpectedly won Wisconsin by a narrow margin four years ago.

The Milwaukee Bucks said last week that the team hopes to work with basketball star LeBron James' voting rights group More Than A Vote to make Fiserv Forum available as a potential voting site.

James is seeking to use NBA arenas and other sporting locations as large polling sites for the presidential election.

"We’re looking forward to working with the City of Milwaukee, in any capacity that we can, to ensure ppl can safely exercise their right to vote!" tweeted Milwaukee Bucks Senior Vice President Alex Lasry.
