Advisory panel to hold series of virtual meetings on Lansing police policy on use of force

LANSING – An advisory committee of the city's police oversight board will hold a series of virtual community meetings over the next six weeks on the police department's policy on use of force.

The one-hour meetings are set for July 8, July 22 and Aug. 19, officials said in a news release.

Speakers will be limited to three minutes during the online forums, and preference will be be given to those who reserve a guaranteed spot by calling 483-6040.

Anyone can attend, regardless of whether they plan to speak. All meetings will be held on Zoom and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
