The Detroit Lions signed second-round pick D'Andre Swift on Saturday, according to a tweet from former Georgia running back.

The Lions drafted Swift in the second round, No. 35 overall, in April's virtual NFL draft. He is expected to complement Kerryon Johnson in the Lions' backfield as a rookie, and should compete for the starting spot after rushing for more than 1,000 yards in his final two seasons at Georgia.

Swift is the highest-drafted player to sign from the Lions' 2020 class. Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah, their first-round pick at No. 3 overall, remains unsigned.
