[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I usually put cleansers right to the front of the queue of products to test, but somehow this slipped out of sight so I’ve only recently put it through its paces.
I’m going to rave about this – it’s one of the best cleansers I’ve ever used! I honestly can’t think of another cleanser I’ve tried that leaves my skin so soft and silky – it’s quite extraordinary. You massage it over your complexion without wetting, at which point it feels like an oil balm. You then add some water (honestly, just a little bit) at which point it turns milky. Either rinse or wipe away immediately or leave for a couple of minutes (I recommend you leave it) before removing.
You’ll notice just how silky your skin feels straight away. It’s not drying, has that instant skin comfort feel and cleanses so nicely. It’s a blend of moringa and safflower oils combined with hyaluronic acid and amino acids – plus ascorbic acid (a potent Vitamin C) and film forming (you don’t feel it) Lecithin Phospholipids so that moisture is sealed into the skin. All cleansers cleanse (or they should), but this is cleansing-extra that delivers an addictive tactile smoothness that makes skin feel that you’ve been dropping serum on it all day. Sounds just lovely, and that’s my ideal in a skin wash: a rich balm type of thing. I often buy Neal’s Yard Wild Rose Beauty Balm for this, to use with a muslin cloth. REN have a smashing balm wash too. Your high praise says a lot.
Don’t you sometimes go blank with the lengthy, slightly desperate names of products though? I’d often be no more or less enticed were a cleanser called ‘corduroy stoneware heaven cleanser’. On which vague point, the claims made are a little odd. Given that the product is washed off, I’m cynical about the anti free radical/ skin brightening thing except in so far as any old splash of water and a mild massage is similarly effective. Grrr! (Had far too much coffee today)
But as I say, it’s all got to the stage where I pretty much disregard claims and names, and just go by your reviews, and the ingredients. I’d never have heard of this brand on my own, so thanks very much!
I agree with you re claims but I’ve reviewed it as a cleanser and not for its other er… qualities! I suppose at a push it might be considered mildly helpful in combination with other products that are on the skin for longer but on its own it won’t have much oomph. But I stand by the fact that it’s a lovely, lovely cleanser :-))
Oh absolutely, and your review was entirely clear. I’d try this without any further urging at all, and my cavilling was more in a general way. The SpaceNK blurb just reminded me about a vague feeling of skincare fatigue.
(Indeed, it’s probably the case that I’d never consider anything but old favourites now, were it not for your clear-eyed reviews cutting through the fog!)

This is a lovely cleanser, but one I don’t always use all the time, it’s great as an evening cleanse. John x
Would you use this to remove make up or just as a second cleanse/morning cleanse?
It does remove make up because of the oil content but I wouldn’t use it for eye products such as liner or mascara x
