  Jackie Wales Jackie Wales, after studying Environmental Biology at York and Applied Entomology at Imperial College Jackie began her career as a London borough technical officer, getting involved in contaminated land investigation before spending nearly 20 years as an environmental consultant rising to project team manager, developing proof-reading and sub-editing skills along the way. She has undertaken proofreading work for independent consultancies over the last 12 years, as well as working in e-commerce product management and as a professional gardener for private customers and the National Trust.
