State reports fourth, but unconfirmed, coronavirus death in Vanderburgh County
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The state reports a fourth death in Vanderburgh County due to COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus.
But the daily online dashboard report of the Indiana State Department of Health has attributed coronavirus-related deaths to the wrong counties before, and the information had not been confirmed by the Vanderburgh County Health Department as of 2 p.m. Saturday.
Joe Gries, administrator for the local health department, said he has no information about the third or fourth death and has been unable to confirm them.
