Firefighters respond to blaze at Oxnard recycling center

Oxnard firefighters responded to a fire burning at a recycling center on Wednesday night, according to the Oxnard Fire Department.

The fire was reported shortly after 8 p.m. at the Del Norte Recycling Center, 111 S. Del Norte Blvd.

Crews arrived on scene to find a fire burning in a trash pile at the facility, authorities said.

Firefighters remained on scene for at least half an hour working to extinguish the blaze. The fire did not extend to the building and no property damage or injuries were reported from the incident.
