13-year-old boy struck by gunfire while outside on Milwaukee's north side

A 13-year-old boy was struck by gunfire Tuesday evening on Milwaukee's north side.

Milwaukee police responded about 9 p.m. to the shooting in the 2900 block of North 38th Street, according to a news release.

The boy was outside when shots were fired, and he was struck. The boy suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and he was taken to a hospital.
