Meet Remington - a 16 month old belgian malinois and blue heeler mix that is highly active and very intelligent. Recently, during one of his afternoon walks with a volunteer at the shelter, Remington came across the newspaper out front by the mailbox, so he promptly picked it up, adjusted his walking route, and carried the paper to the front door of the shelter all on his own! Activities like agility or nosework would be a lot of fun with Remington. He is attentive and food motivated. He already knows sit, lay down, and crawl. Remington could use some help improving his leash etiquette. He thoroughly enjoys exploring the walking trails at the shelter, and he will make an excellent partner for hiking in the woods or exploring local parks. Remington will do best in home with similar breed experience that is able to provide the structure, training, exercise, and mental stimulation that he deserves. Remington is reportedly both house-trained and crate-trained. He loves to play with toys including chews, balls, ropes, and sticks; but he does have a tendency to resource guard high value items. Remington previously lived with children around 12 yrs old, and he was reportedly playful but rambunctious. We recommend that he only live with children over the age of 12. Other dogs would need to be evaluated on a case by case basis. He has a tendency to be vocal around other dogs at the shelter, but his previous owner said he got along well with other dogs. This handsome fella knows there is more to life than lounging around, so please consider making Remington your adventure companion! #135863

Adopted! Meet QUAZZY...an energetic fella that is seeking a lifelong playmate with lots of love. Quazzy can be a bit timid in new situations, but once he feels comfortable, he is very playful and interactive. Quazzy enjoys taking walks and walks very well on leash. He also enjoys toys, although he has shown some resource guarding tendencies.

Skinny Mini is an extremely vocal 1-year-old boy. He loves attention, and is a very sweet, cuddly boy. He is also pretty energetic and playful, and seems to get along with other cats, but dogs are unknown at this time. He does have a tail fracture he is still recovering from, but he doesn't let that hold him back! AFS# 135808

Adopted! Meet HUEY...an 8-month youngster that is looking for some guidance as he learns to navigate this great big world. Huey is very sweet and eager to please, and he loves to play. He is attentive, smart, and highly food motivated. He absolutely loves special treats/chews, like kongs and peanut butter filled tires. Huey walks well on leash and really enjoys exploring the walking trails.

Joe Exotic is a very playful and energetic 2-year-old boy. He is very sweet and loving, but does have a bit of a sassy side to him. He seems to get along with other cats, but dogs are unknown at this time. AFS# 135710

Introducing ASTRO...a big, outgoing guy that is ready for some fun! Astro is fairly young and very energetic, so he could use some help with his manners and obedience training. He already knows sit and paw. Astro loves entertaining himself with feeding toys/chews, and he is very food motivated which will be great for training. He weighs about 95 lbs. He loves to play but can be rambunctious, so we feel that a home with children over the age of 10 would be best. We do not yet know how Astro feels about other dogs or cats. #135835

Snow is an extremely loving and affectionate 5-year-old girl. She loves to be held and pet while in your arms. Snow has the tendency to suckle on your shirt when you hold her. She is a very sweet lap cat. This girl does well with other cats, but dogs are unknown at this time. She is also on skin sensitive food. AFS# 135606

Peanut, a 2-year-old female, is a little scared at first, but once she warms up to you, she is very sweet and cuddly. She loves to crawl into your lap and lay with you. Peanut can probably get a bit playful, but she doesn't show much of that side here. This girl is a little scared of other cats at first, but with time, she warms up. She has some hair loss on her tail, but it's nothing to worry about. If anything, it makes her more unique! AFS# 135781
