MARHSALL – An early morning crash on Interstate 69 in Marshall killed an Eaton Rapids man and injured three others.

A 66-year-old Eaton Rapids man died after he was ejected from a truck during a rollover accident on I-69, near mile marker 39 in Marshall just after midnight, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said. The man was a passenger in a truck that was towing another vehicle when a third vehicle crashed into them on the highway.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the crash but do not suspect alcohol was involved.

A 64-year-old Eaton Rapids man was driving the pickup truck northbound when a 39-year-old Bellevue woman crashed into them. The Eaton Rapid man’s pickup truck and the truck it was towing rolled over into the median.

The 66-year-old Eaton Rapids man was pronounced dead at the scene, and three others in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital. Two are in serious but stable condition and the third is in stable condition, police said.

The Bellevue woman and three children in that vehicle were not injured.

Police have not yet identified those involved in the crash.
